ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Community Development Department is responsible for providing information to the general public on Planning, Zoning, reviewing and issuing building permits, providing inspections for new construction and ensuring compliance with the applicable planning, zoning and building related requirements, preparing and administrating contracts for special Community Development related programs, coordinating with other City, local and state departments, monitoring regional and state activities that impact the City, ensuring the City's development related documents are in compliance with state and federal requirements, and providing staff support to the City Manager, City Attorney, Planning Commission, City Council and the general public.

CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program

The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program, from the State of California Housing Department, provides financial assistance for rent and utilities to income-eligible California renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19. Both renters and landlords can apply for assistance.

El programa Ayuda Con La Renta de COVID-19 de California, por el Estado de California Departamento de Vivienda,  ofrece asistencia financiera para la renta y los servicios públicos a los inquilinos de California que cumplen los requisitos de ingresos y a sus propietarios que han sido afectados por COVID-19. Tanto los inquilinos como los propietarios pueden aplicar.
