Traffic Committee

CMC 10.06.080 Summary

Per the City of Lawndale Municipal Code 10.06.080, the Traffic Committee is in place to suggest the most practicable means for coordinating the activities with respect to administration and enforcement of traffic regulations, prepare and publish traffic reports, receive concerns regarding traffic matters, and recommend various ways and means for improving traffic conditions, and the administration and enforcement of traffic regulations.

Filing a Concern

Traffic related issues may include:

  • Placement of stop signs
  • Posted speed limits
  • Road modifications
  • Safety devices
  • Traffic signals

To send a public concern regarding traffic matters, please fill out a service request at                            

SERVICE REQUEST

Once the service request is received, the item will be reviewed by the City Engineer.

If the concern is deemed a safety issue, it will be included in a future traffic committee meeting.

The service requestor will be notified of the date and time of the meeting, if it proceeds through this channel.

Traffic Committee Meeting Agenda and Staff Report

A Staff Report will be distributed prior to the meeting, with Meeting Minutes following to document the discussion and conclusion to the concern that was brought for discussion.
