Street Sweeping

CleanStreet is the City's exclusive street sweeping service provider. The City maintains a street sweeping program to comply with provisions of the federally mandated Clean Water Act.  Street sweeping helps to remove pollutants which can potentially reach our local beaches.

SWEEPING SCHEDULE:

  • Residential Areas: Once per week; from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
  • Hawthorne Blvd: Five (5) times per week; from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monday - Friday
  • Business District (excluding Hawthorne Blvd): Twice per week.
  • Alleys: Once per week.
  • Median Islands: Once every other week.
  • Public Parking Lots: Once every other week.
  • Holiday Schedule (street sweeping will not take place on the holidays listed below):
  •  New Year's Day
  •  Martin Luther King Jr Day 
  •  President's Day
  •  Memorial Day
  •  4th of July
  •  Labor Day
  •  Veterans Day
  •  Thanksgiving Day and Friday after Thanksgiving
  •  Christmas Day

In the event of inclement weather,
street sweeping may be cancelled for the day.
