Fares

Seniors 62 years and older & persons with disabilities can ride Lawndale Beat free of charge. Children under 6 years of age ride free when accompanying a fare-paying adult.

Transfers and Passes

If your trip requires the use of more than one Lawndale Beat route, or a connection to a neighboring transit provider, ask your driver for a free transfer when paying your fare. Transfers are valid for up to 60 minutes on
any Lawndale Beat neighboring transit provider except for the issuing route.

Metro LIFE Program

LIFE participants receive a free 90-day pass valid on participating transit systems. After 90 days, participants may receive either 20 free rides each month on one transit agency or apply their LIFE subsidy to other pass that the transit operator might offer.

Each Lawndale Beat vehicle displays a destination sign that identifies the vehicle's route.
Each bus stop is identified with an easy-to-read sign.

Friendly reminders to make your ride pleasant!

• Be at your desired stop at least 5 minutes early.
  
• Have fare ready: exact cash, monthly pass or transfer. Drivers cannot make change.
• If you require a transfer slip, please notify driver when paying the fare. Transfer slips are good for 60 minutes.
• Take your seat upon entering and remain seated until the vehicle arrives at your stop.
  
• Front seating is reserved for seniors and persons with disabilities.
• All Lawndale Beat vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
  
• As the vehicle approaches your destination, notify the driver that you wish to get off.
• Remain seated until the vehicle stops.
• After you exit, stand to the side of the road or on the sidewalk until the vehicle has pulled away. For your safety, do not cross in front of the vehicle.
