Mission
The mission of the Lawndale Community Services Department is to provide high quality programs and activities that meet the diverse needs of the community, while advocating a positive environment, developing character, and assisting with physical and mental wellness. The Community Services Department encourages participation in programs, activities and events as a means to build a strong community, in safe, friendly and clean environments and facilities.
About Us
The Community Services Department promotes a sense of community by coordinating and facilitating services, programs, classes, and events for families and individuals of all ages.
The Department oversees local City transportation services, supervision of nine recreation facilities and a number of essential senior services and assistance programs.
