Redevelopment Plan and Project Area Adopted!

In May of 1999, the City Council/Redevelopment Agency of the the City of Lawndale adopted its first Redevelopment Plan and Project Area.

Current Redevelopment Programs Offered by the City's Redevelopment Agency are divided into the following two (2) Categories:

• Category 1: Great Neighborhoods Programs.
• Category 2: Commercial Rehabilitation Programs.

Housing Programs

• First Time Home Buyers Program;
• Lease To Own Home Buyers Program; and
• The Great Neighborhoods Home Rehabilitation Program.

Commercial Rehabilitation Programs

The City of Lawndale's Redevelopment Department and Agency are currently working on developing various types of programs to offer the City's Commercial Community. If you have plans to move to Lawndale and open a business or you are currently a business owner/operator within the City and you would like to either move to another location in Lawndale or  improve your existing facility, contact our department, we may be able to offer some assistance!
