In accordance with state law and the California Vehicle Code, and by a resolution of the city council, the city engineer may designate any one-way streets and alleys. Thereafter the public works director shall place and maintain appropriate signage therefor. Signs indicating the direction of lawful traffic movement shall be placed at every intersection where movement of traffic in the opposite direction is prohibited.
