5.13.150 Appeal.

Authority to approve the special event permit rests with the director of community services and/or director of municipal services. A decision to deny a permit may be appealed to the city manager. If the applicant is still not satisfied, he or she may appeal to the city council. Any person may appeal the approval by submitting a written appeal to the city manager via the city clerk’s office no later than ten calendar days after the receipt of the notice of denial. The clerk’s office will notify the applicant in writing by certified mail of the date, time and location set for hearing of the appeal. Any denial of a non-commercial special event shall include a suggestion of an alternate time, place and manner or other criteria which would allow the event to occur.
