Chapter 5.12 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL LICENSE APPLICATIONS
5.12.030 Review of applications.
A. Upon receiving an application for the issuance or transfer of an
alcoholic beverage control license, the city manager, or his or her designee,
shall route the application to the Los Angeles County sheriff's department,
community development director, and finance department, or their designees, for
review and comment. The city manager may also refer any application to any other
appropriate person or body for comment.
B. If, based upon investigation and
comments received from the Los Angeles County sheriff's department, community
development director, and/or director of finance, or their designees, or such
other person or body, where applicable, the city manager, or his or her
designee, determines that the city should file a protest or propose conditions
with respect to the issuance or transfer of a license, the city manager, or his
or her designee, shall prepare and submit the protest or proposed conditions to
the department of alcoholic beverage control within thirty days of the mailing
of the notice and application by the department of alcoholic beverage control.
The protest shall state the grounds for the protest and include such relevant
information as has been obtained. (Ord. 791-95 § 1 (part))
