NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Lawndale City Council will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 14717 Burin Ave., Lawndale, CA at 6:30 p.m. on March 15, 2004 to consider an extension of Urgency Ordinance No. 937-04, temporarily suspending approvals for apartment conversions.

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the proposal as outlined above. As of March 15, 2004, a written report describing the measures already taken to improve the City’s zoning code relative to apartment conversion standards will be available for review, along with the all other files regarding this matter, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Community Development Department at Lawndale City Hall, 14717 Burin Ave., Lawndale.

Any grounds for opposing this project must be made at the time of the hearing, or made in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department by 6:00 p.m. on March 15, 2004.

If you wish to challenge the nature of the above actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Lawndale at, or prior to, the public hearing.
