Commercial/Multifamily Recycling is now available in Lawndale!
The
City of Lawndale and Consolidated Disposal Services are
pleased to announce a new recycling program. Effective October
1, 2005, both commercial businesses and multi-family complexes
can receive recycling service FREE of charge.
The
City has developed a new commercial/multi-family recycling
program to increase the City's recycling activities and
solid waste diversion away from the landfills. The program
is funded through a City refuse collection fee and provides
for free commercial recycling services to participating
businesses and multi-family complexes. The businesses that
recycle will be able to reduce the amount of regular trash
collected at their location. This may result in reducing
the size of their trash container or reducing the number
of weekly pickups, and produce a cost saving on their trash
bill.
If
you are interested in participating in this program, please
contact Juan Pizarro of Consolidated Disposal Services at
(562) 347-2100. A representative from Consolidated Disposal
Services will visit your site to explain the new program,
and assist with identifying, the appropriate service level
(number and size of containers and frequency of service)
to best suit your recycling needs.
We
look forward to working with you to preserve our environment.
