Dog Licensing Information

  1. All dogs over the age of 4 months are required to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed by the City of Lawndale.
  2. The rabies vaccination is mandatory before issuance of a dog license. The vaccination can not expire before the end of the licensing period.
  3. With proof of sterilization, owners qualify for a 50% discount for all spayed and neutered dogs.
  4. Senior citizens receive a 50% discount for one dog per household.
  5. The license period is from July 1 through June 30, and is renewed each year.
    The fees are:
    Unaltered dog $20.00
    Altered dog $10.00
  6. A late fee of 50% of the license fee is charged after August 1.
