The Information Systems program was established
to consolidate the costs of implementing and maintaining the City's information
systems. Information systems include all of the hardware and software
related to the City's network and financial management systems as well
as the PC systems located throughout the City and City's website in the
Internet. Staffing for this program is provided on a contractual basis
and administered by the Finance Department.
Typical tasks include: Acquiring, installing
and maintaining computer hardware and software; coordinating training
of City staff for the computer hardware and software they are required
to use; evaluating and recommending new or upgraded hardware and software
to improve City operations; assisting City departments with their information
systems needs; update City's website. |
