Dayle Keller, Interim City Manager
The Lawndale City Manager implements
the policies and programs established by the City Council. On a day
to day basis this task is done by supervising and directing all City
Departmental Directors, and by making recommendations to Council on
matters of policy, overseeing the planning and funding of major projects
and serving as liaison between Citizens, the City Administration, and
community organizations. The City Manager also coordinates the working
relationship with other local, regional, State and Federal agencies
and organizations.
The City Manager has the responsibility to ensure that the City performs
efficiently, focusing resources on approved Council policies and priorities.
A major part of this is to oversee implementation of the Strategic Plan
and its Goals and Objectives. These include the projects of the Capital
Improvement Program including the Town Center, Hawthorne Boulevard,
Redevelopment and Economic Development and housing projects and activities.
A major goal is to increase City assessed valuations, sales taxes and
other City revenues and grants available to the City.
